DFA (Design, Form, Architecture) is a multi-disciplinary firm based in New York that sees design as a critical yet playful mediator between program, materiality, and structure. The firm’s scope of work includes ground up projects and renovations, as well as design for retail, institutional, commercial and residential clients.

Live from the stage/my workspace

DFA combines a passion for contemporary culture with careful understanding of its constant ebb and flow. The studio seeks out intelligent yet unexpected design results for its clients, with careful attention to maintaining schedule and budget. The studio works at varying scales and with numerous technologies, moving from furniture, to interiors, to buildings, to large scale urban transformations. The common thread in all our work is formal elegance and conceptual rigor.

The work of DFA (and our predecessor firm, Sayigh + Duman) has been exhibited internationally and featured in publications including The New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Interior Design Magazine, Architectural Record, Dwell, and Metropolis. Fashion Group International recognized our design work in the United States with the Best of the Year 2012 and Rising Star Award 2011, awarded by Fashion Group International.

Our offices are located in the Garment District of New York City at 866 Avenue of the Americas on the 12th Floor.
